All that stuff I was taught about evolution and embryology and the big bang theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of Hell.-Rep. Paul Broun (R-Ga.) 2012

Broun, a member of the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, is a doctor, and would have been taught many of the generally accepted principles of evolution and embryology in medical school.

“Scientists all over this world say that the idea of human-induced global climate change is one of the greatest hoaxes perpetrated out of the scientific community. It is a hoax. There is no scientific consensus.”

– Rep. Paul Broun (R-Georgia), 2009, at a debate over the Clean Energy and Security Act.

Many researchers point to a decline in Arctic sea ice, an increase in droughts, and changing rain and snow patterns as signs of climate change.

Former Virginia governor found guilty in influence-peddling case

A former rising star in the Republican Party, former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell was red-faced and sobbing Thursday after a jury convicted him and his wife on multiple counts related to influence-peddling while he was in office.

After more than a month of sometimes soul-baring testimony, the federal jury issued guilty verdicts on 11 counts against McDonnell, while clearing him on two others. His wife, Maureen, was convicted on nine while cleared on four.

Republican Pat Garofalo is a racist

Yet another racist Republican showed his true colors yesterday. Republican Minnesota State Rep. Pat Garofalo tweeted the following about the NBA.

“Let’s be honest, 70% of teams in NBA could fold tomorrow + nobody would notice a difference w/ possible exception of increase in streetcrime”

Republican ruled states have the worst healthcare in the country

Republican ruled states have the worst healthcare in the country. They have the highest number of uninsured

Georgia – 18.4% without health insurance (2012)

Florida – 20.1%

Alaska – 20.5%

Nevada – 22.2%

Texas – 22.5%

Conservatives stand to benefit the most from ACA but because conservatives have low IQs, they are fighting ACA tooth and nail.

Michelle Malkin is an Anchor Baby

“Anchor baby” is a pejorative term for a child born in the United States to immigrant parents, who, as an American citizen, supposedly can later facilitate immigration for relatives. The term is generally used as a derogatory reference to the supposed role of the child who automatically qualifies as an American citizen and can later act as a sponsor for other family members The term is often used in the context of the debate over illegal immigration to the United States, but is used for the child of any immigrant

Michelle  Malkin was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Philippine citizens Rafaela (née Perez) – a homemaker and teacher – and Apolo DeCastro Maglalang

Michelle Malkin is a vile hypocrite for railing against “anchor babies” when she is herself an “anchor baby”.

Herman Cain’s economic adviser

Herman Cain, for the first time, named his economic-adviser who helped him create the 999 plan yesterday. The former Godfather’s Pizza CEO was pressed for his circle of economic advisers at Tuesday’s debate in response to a question from moderator Karen Tumulty of the Washington Post.

Herman Cain says his much-touted 9-9-9 plan is the product of extensive testing and thinking, but the only man he cited as involved with its research — Rich Lowrie.
When I first heard the name I thought he meant “Rich Lowry” of the National Review. Rich Lowry is the “starburst” clown who wrote this about Sarah Palin in 2008.

“A very wise TV executive once told me that the key to TV is projecting through the screen. It’s one of the keys to the success of, say, a Bill O’Reilly, who comes through the screen and grabs you by the throat. Palin too projects through the screen like crazy. I’m sure I’m not the only male in America who, when Palin dropped her first wink, sat up a little straighter on the couch and said, “Hey, I think she just winked at me.” And her smile. By the end, when she clearly knew she was doing well, it was so sparkling it was almost mesmerizing. It sent little starbursts through the screen and ricocheting around the living rooms of America. This is a quality that can’t be learned; it’s either something you have or you don’t, and man, she’s got it.

But the Herman Cain’s adviser is “Rich Lowrie”. Rich Lowrie is not a trained economist. He is a wealth manager for a division of Wells Fargo.  He also spent three years on the advisory board of the conservative third-party group Americans For Prosperity.
