Ronald Reagan told visiting Israeli premier Yitzhak Shamir in fall of 1983 that he had helped liberate the Auschwitz concentration camp as a soldier in the European theater and had taken footage of the horrors of the camp.
Reagan was in uniform during WW II, but was detailed to Hollywood. He never left the United States.
“In his 2000 campaign autobiography, ghosted by Karen Hughes, George W Bush claimed that after completing his training in the F-102 fighter plane, “I continued flying with my unit for the next several years.” “He tried to volunteer for service in Vietnam ‘to relieve active duty pilots’ fighting the war.”
So Bush lied about trying to volunteer for Vietnam and then lied again when he said he “continued flying with my unit” when in reality he was sloughing off on a civilian local GOP campaign
Bill O’Reilly said…”I tell you what, I’ve been in combat. I’ve seen it. I’ve been close to it. And if my unit is in danger and I got a captured guy and the guy knows where the enemy is and I’m looking him in the eye, the guy better tell me. That’s all I’m gonna tell you. If it’s life or death, he’s going first.”
O’Reilly has never been in combat.
Republican Idiot Paul Broun
All that stuff I was taught about evolution and embryology and the big bang theory, all that is lies straight from the pit of Hell.-Rep. Paul Broun (R-Ga.) 2012
Broun, a member of the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology, is a doctor, and would have been taught many of the generally accepted principles of evolution and embryology in medical school.
“Scientists all over this world say that the idea of human-induced global climate change is one of the greatest hoaxes perpetrated out of the scientific community. It is a hoax. There is no scientific consensus.”
– Rep. Paul Broun (R-Georgia), 2009, at a debate over the Clean Energy and Security Act.
Many researchers point to a decline in Arctic sea ice, an increase in droughts, and changing rain and snow patterns as signs of climate change.
Governor Bob McDonnell of Virginia was previously famous for forced ultrasounds has now been found guilty of corruption.
Former Virginia governor found guilty in influence-peddling case
A former rising star in the Republican Party, former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell was red-faced and sobbing Thursday after a jury convicted him and his wife on multiple counts related to influence-peddling while he was in office.
After more than a month of sometimes soul-baring testimony, the federal jury issued guilty verdicts on 11 counts against McDonnell, while clearing him on two others. His wife, Maureen, was convicted on nine while cleared on four.
